Dan has amassed over 15 years of financial services experience, since starting in the industry as a mortgage adviser at Banco Santander in 2002, at this time also achieving his qualifications in mortgage advice and financial advice. After this he spent 6 years at Teachers Assurance as a pension and investment adviser dealing specifically with professionals in the education sector, becoming the company subject matter expert on the UK teachers occupational pension scheme and advising on regular savings and investments, whilst also assuming day to day control of the mortgage department. Dan has also spent significant time in the UK in business development for LV=, the UK’s largest friendly society, training financial advisers on both personal and business protection and speaking regularly on the same subjects at national conferences.
Whilst living in Malta, he has worked in roles specialising in compliance for investment funds and fund managers and European taxation solutions for contractors.
His experience is coupled with having achieved further financial services qualifications including the DipFA diploma for financial advisers and the CeFA certificate in supervision within a regulated environment, with the London Institute of Banking and Finance.
Outside of the workplace Dan is a keen football supporter and enjoys taking part in outdoor activities including mountain biking, road cycling and scuba diving as well as enjoying cooking regularly for friends and family.
